M4A3 (early type)
Cheehong Ahn

The base kit is DML's M4A4. I cut away the rear portion of it. The round type one piece transmission housing was from Academy's M10 kit. Tracks were from Italeri's old M4A1 kit. Spare tracks on turret were AFV club's T- 51. Engine grill is from Italeri's US Marine Sherman. Aplique armor is from Tamiya's M4 kit. 75mm gun and mantlet and other details were scratch built. Periscope housing of driver's hatch was from Aber's PE set and periscope of commander's hatch was from Fine Mold's periscope set. Tamiya acrylic paint was used as base coat. After 2 or 3 layers of filter, Mig Production's Pigments were applied for the dust.
