Merkava III	Academy, 1/35 scale

Description

Here is Academy's 1/35 scale Merkava III built straight out-of-the-box.

This is my first desert-scheme AFV, airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics XF56 Buff lightened with gray.

The colour might not be very accurate.

Weathering is via pastel chalks and a light acrylic wash.

The decals were unmanageable, too thick and not responsive to Mr Mark Softer (decal-set).

The white stripes on the barrel and chevrons were masked and airbrushed with white, then toned down with misted Buff.

I was not aiming for high accuracy here, just an exercise for airbrushing acrylics. It was an enjoyable build.
