PE35208: Photo etch, tuned brass and resin update for the Tasca M4A1 Sherman.
This set is an update for the Tasca M4A1 Sherman. This set covers 11 photo etch frets together with 1 resin piece, 1 length of wire and 2 return springs for the front crew hatches. The two well laid out “mini books” of easy to follow instructions cover 44 construction sequences and cover most of the external fittings. The main parts covered are the front mud guards (with two types being present) and the front hull crew hatches. These include some remarkable return springs that are quite honestly the best rendition of this feature I have ever seen. On the second page of instructions most of the turret fittings are covered in addition to all the tool fittings... Two types of Skid plate are provided for the bogies. The brass it self is first class and the bend marks clearly defined. Overall this is a great set and would add certain finesse to the Tasca kit as well as adding scale thickness to the various fittings outside the vehicle. This is one of those sets that I considered to be a tad “frivolous” when announced but, after reviewing the set; I can see some definite advantages over the kit parts.

PE35204: Photo etch, tuned brass and resin update for the Tamiya Sd.kfz.222
This set is an update for the Tamiya Sd.kfz. 222. This set covers 9 photo etch frets together with 3 resin pieces, 6 lengths of wire ,4 turned brass parts and 1 length of soft copper tow rope. The two well laid out “mini books” of easy to follow instructions cover 64 construction sequences and cover most of the detail on this major update. The main parts covered are the front and rear mud guards, the complete turret housing, the rear engine deck louvers, all of the storage bins and most of the external fittings. The main gun is not left out, with updates included for the ammunition magazines, a resin replacement for the MG34 and a complete sighting system. Brass parts are includes for the width indicators and two small 20cm shells for the main Gun. Soft copper wire is included for the tow rope. To say this is a Major update is an understatement. Basically, the only thing missing is the main Barrel gun replacement. The brass it self is first class and the bend marks clearly defined. I must say this set has the “Wow” factor written all over it. The quality of the brass and its overall presentation is first class and I have no hesitation in recommending this set to anyone who wants to update the old Tamiya kit

VBS0301: Photo etch, turned brass 50cal Machine Gun Ammo box set
This set includes four US 50 Cal ammunition boxes. This update covers 1 photo etch fret together with 8 finely turned brass 50 Cal shells. The one well laid out page of easy to follow instructions cover, 4 construction sequences and cover the assembly of the boxes in question. The brass itself is first class and the bend marks clearly defined. This set includes the ammunition belt holders on the etch for the brass shells included but includes no instructions on how you should bend them? This seems a little hard to understand given the complex nature of the bends involved and the overall excellence of the instructions of the last two updates reviewed. I recommend this set for anyone who plans or wants a 50 cal ammunition box open (with some reservations).
