In the past Allied Model builders afflicted  with “Advanced Modelers Syndrome”  had a lot of work ahead of them when detailing the venerable 50  Cal Machine Gun. All this has changed over the past few years with almost everyone releasing updates to improve the quality of the available plastic model company’s offerings.  Voyager is the fifth manufacture (to my knowledge) to release an update for this very important Machine Gun.

This set provides a Brass Turned Barrel and cooling Jacket. With a 7 part Photo etch update to improve almost any of plastic offerings on the Market. The cooling Jacket for example is a stunning piece of the “Machinists art” and is a marvel to hold in your hands. It has a slight taper and has the cooling holes drilled to the correct diameter. The barrel itself is the correct length and has the correct slots at the end of its length. The Photo etch provides the sights and hand grips. This is the only set that includes The AA site. The Quality and Price of this update set it apart from the other examples on the market and would be a worthwhile addition to anyone wanting to update the plastic 50 cal Machine guns on the market today.
