The new
crop of 1/72nd-scale kits from DML is quite refined and really only
need a bit of etched brass to bring them in to the realm of the
super-detailer. This latest item from Eduard is just the trick.
The
main item is a finely rendered engine deck screen and frame, as well
as the internal baffles that controlled the cooling air for the
engine. The smaller vertical grills seen on the sides and top of the
hull are also given, for that extra touch of finesse. The remaining
parts will allow the modeler to make a new shovel and two-handed
saw, and will also give new lids for the external storage boxes. New
ice cleats, straps and very tiny mounts for them are given as are
straps and brackets for the fuel boxes. Internally, there is a new
gun breech and spent shell catcher, as well as internal hatch lid
details.
Get out your Optivisor, all you squinty-eyed Braille-scalers…this
set’s for you guys!
Highly Recommended.
