AMMO’s latest addition to their aircraft paint range is a set of six colours used on the exterior of US Navy helicopters.
The colours in this set cover not only camouflage colours but also high visibility White.
Here’s what AMMO has to say about this set: “This set includes the necessary colours to paint the mythical SH-2 Seasprite, SH-3 Sea King or SH-60 Seahawk, and many others. These colours are accurately and slightly lightened for scale reduction effect on any kit. Includes four colours in 17 mL bottles. All products are acrylic, have been formulated for maximum performance with either brush or airbrush and are water-soluble, odourless, and non-toxic. Shake well before each use. Each jar includes a stainless steel agitator to facilitate mixture. We recommend A.MIG-2000 Acrylic Thinner for correct thinning. Dries completely in 24 hours.”
The paints are acrylic. The bottles are squeezable plastic. They are capped with a screw-top plastic lid.
The twelve plastic bottles are packed securely in a single cardboard trays inside an end-opening cardboard box. The specific AMMO paints included are:
Of course, these colours are not exclusively used on helicopters. Most of these colours will be relevant for US Navy aircraft and some for Air Force colours as well. Recommended Brett Green Thanks to AMMO by Mig Jimenez for the sample www.migjimenez.com/en/

Here’s a very useful set for anyone who paints German WWII figures. This is Item No. A.MIG-7043 in their Figures Set series, Waffen SS Spring Camo. German Einchenlaubmuster.
Here’s what AMMO has to say about the set: “This pack includes the six colours required to paint the distinctive and complex German Eichenlaubmuster in the spring variation. Most of the garments were reversible, with spring camouflage on one side and autumn camouflage on the other. These colours have been selected through rigorous research to ensure accuracy when creating highlights, adding volume, and define details.” The six acrylic paints are:
They are packed in a cardboard box with a white cardboard tray.
The rear of the box contains a nice big images of a painted figure with a guide to what colour goes where.
