German Pz.III/IV 40cm Workable Track Set Early

DEF Model has a growing range of 3D printed track sets. Today we are looking at their fully workable individual links that will be a simple replacement for 1:35 scale Panzer III and Panzer IV kits.

The parts are 3d printed in grey-coloured resin.

222 individual track links are supplied. These are made up from 105 links for each side plus 12 spare links. The links are printed inside six resin “boxes” that will protect the individual links in transit.

It is very easy to remove the links from their resin boxes – simly press down on each link and they should snap off, ready to use.

Assembly is fast and easy. Simply hold two links together and insert one track pin in either side of the links. Carefully lower the track pin into the holes in the track.

I pressed harder once the link was all the way in and this was sufficient to hold the link firmly in place. No glue required!

I assembled three links to see how they worked. Assembly went very quickly with the assistance of an Optivisor and tweezers.

Once assembled the track links stayed together nicely.

The completed run will be fully workable.
