Pak 40 75mm anti-tank gun	Italeri / Tamiya, 1/35 scale

Description

This is an Italeri model of the Pak 40 75mm anti-tank gun in 1/35 scale. It comes with the RSO/03. This particular kit is repacked by Revell.

The quality of the model is not that good. They have done some touch-up but still there are sizable mold seams and the detail suffers thanks to that. the breach area needed a lot of work to make it correct. I used the Eduard PE set, also I used Tamiya wheels as the kit ones lacked any detail on the rubber section.

I painted it with Testor Model Master paints followed by washes, fading, chipping and finally pastel dust to tie it with the base.

The base is a picture frame onto which I cast plaster groundwork.

It is supposed to represent a gun used by the Estonian Legion (20. Waffen-SS grenadier division) during the fighting in Estonia near Narva, summer 1944.
