Description
Here's Tamiya's brand new 1/35 scale Toyota Model AB Phaeton, started last Wednesday afternoon and finished on Friday of the same week.

As you'd expect, fit is superb and detail is very good straight from the box. With the doors and bonnet moulded shut, I suppose you'd call this a curbside model.
The model was painted with the Testor Aztek A470 airbrush fitted with the fine tan-coloured tip.
I have also written a more detailed in-box review here on Missing-Lynx.

I decided to make my model look a bit different, so I finished it as a war prize captured by American Marines in the Pacific. The stars are painted using a vinyl stencil.
I based the spattered weathering on a photo of a US media unit joyriding in a Kurogane.
Fun project!

I'm writing this one up for a detailed article in Issue 104 of Model Military International magazine
