M46 Patton
Illustrated by Tony Bryan

M46 Patton, Co.C, 6th Tank Battalion Man River, February 1951
D uring the winter 1950-51 campaign, american tankers began painting garish tiger faces on their tanks, believing that they would terrify superstitious Chinese peasant soldiers. This led to some of the most colourful tank combat markings of all time, and the 6th Tank Battalion markings stand out as being particularly gaudy.
