This conversion was based on drawings and info I got from Bovington, including a scale cross-section drawing of the turret. This allowed me to build up the turret from plastic card and epoxy putty. The front of the hull was changed to reflect the Grizzly that the Skink was based on, it is equivalent to a mid production M4A1 with the small drivers hatches and 3 piece transmission. The hardest part of this conversion was the track. I scratchbuilt almost 300 CDP (Canadian Dry Pin) links to make up the track on the model as well as the new 19 tooth drive sprockets. Each link was made up of 3 pieces and took me almost 4 months to do casting them 5 at a time in the evenings out of Epoxy putty.
