BUILDING
The kit is the Panther G Initial from Tamiya. This kit, like
almost all the models from Tamiya these years, has very high quality,
only the lack of the driver and radio operator hatch's stoppers
and the stopper of mantelet. As well, the turret's holders on
mantelet sides are lack too. There are little mistakes from the
Japan manufacturer, and they are corrected with plasticard and
photoetched pieces.
The kit is superdetailed with these elements:
- The Zimmerit is a Jaguar reference made of resin. It is made
up of complete superior hull, rear engine deck, two frontal glacis
pieces, mantelet, lateral panels for turret, rear hatch turret
and the Schurzen. This kit is very good and it adapts to Tamiya
Panther perfectly, only you need some putty in the pieces joined
to hide the gaps.

- Aber Photoetched. I consider it is one of the best P.E. from
Aber. It includes, as well as grilles, tools brackets and locks,
chains..., turret commander's periscopes, exhausts pipes shields,
Schurzen brackets and mudguards. To stand out the 23 pieces to
make the chain of barrel lock and the pieces to make the MG holder.
The Tamiya piece was avoided and I made it with wire, plastic
and P.E. pieces.

Mudguard detail
It was made with several pieces from
P.E. Aber. It allowed me to imitate a very real mudguard, particularly
if we want to show scratches and dents.
|
Light Bosch detail
I replaced the kit's light for the
white metal item of Modelkasten. The improvement is visible overall
in its support. I detailed the electric cable with wire, too.
